Costume Purchases

Costumes are a luxury commodity in DN SEA. This means that costumes are expensive, and when you go around wearing one, people are gonna think you're rich IRL to spend much for some fancy pixels in-game. But that's not always the case, like me for example.

So, how does one acquire costumes? There are 3 ways to do this:
  1. Buying them directly from Cash Shop using CC/DNP.
  2. Buying them from the Trading House (TH).
  3. Have someone gift them to you.
Of the three methods mentioned above, I only (and strictly) use #1. Why? It's because of the inherent nature of these costumes which I will explain.

Costumes are only allowed to be sold off at TH for 1 time only.

If you try searching for costumes at TH and compare their sellable property to the one I have equipped, you can see that costumes at TH cannot be traded anymore.

This means that if you purchase costumes at TH, you have no chance of re-selling them off again at TH if you plan to in the future. That's why I strictly buy costumes from Cash Shop only.

When buying costumes at Cash Shop, only permanent ones can be re-sold off at TH.

So when you buy these costumes, make sure you select the "Unlimited..." option in the duration selection drop-down box.

Last, these costumes also provide a slight increase to your desired stat--at most ~+100 per set. The stat selection pattern usually goes like:

STR+##, AGI+##, INT+##, Vit+##

I have written it down here because some players confuse it to be the other way around--+## STAT. This can lead to purchasing mistakes that is not refundable through any complaints at customer support.

So, have fun dressing up your characters with some fancy luxurious costumes.

DN SEA Wealth and Riches

I've decided to publish all the tips and tricks I've learned to maximize the game's system mechanics. At first, I was only content on freely sharing it in-game to anybody who wants (or not) to know... But yesterday's ordeal with Blacksmith Berlin made me think that I've already beaten this game long before I actually realized it.

So, to anybody reading these posts, what you will be finding here is my own little gold mine inside DN SEA.

To prove such things, I will post screenshots and videos of how I do things in-game. This is just an initial introduction post, until maintenance is over, and I can have access to on-line media.

Oh wait, I have some saved screenshots of my characters in-game, and I suppose these will lend an insight into how much gold I've really made in this game within the past 3 months of playing it.

---

The first one is my beloved physician.

As you can see, she has a complete pink costume (the pink glory set for academics, with the exception of her shoes, because pink glory pod--shoes--isn't pink at all.) It cost me around 14,000~ gold to acquire the costume set. I did not buy it directly from the trading house (TH), but I converted the 14kg to roughly 27,000~ DNP instead. DNP is another currency that the game's cash shop accepts. By buying it off directly from cash shop, I am able to preserve the costumes 1-time only placeable in TH, which simply means, if I decide to sell this costume in the future, I still could...

Now, 14kg may not be much to some really rich players in this "luxurious" game, but that's not all. My little princess physician also has a horse (a symbol of luxury), all +8 enhanced equipment, and almost all epic grade heraldry enhancement and skill plates. All in all, if I would sum them up to gold measure, it would cost around 50,000~ gold not including the costume set yet.

So it's pretty clear how much gold I've amassed, even without the help of an existing guild in-game.

But she's not my only character, meet my windwalker...

She has the complete set limited edition Japanese costume, which was quite expensive! But it was worth it. Now, everywhere I go, I go with confidence. And people do show some changes into how they react to what I have to say just by the costume alone. And going over to her equipment, they're all very good too.

Now here's the interesting part... every stranger I meet thinks I'm super rich that I'm able to afford all these stuff. Only a few friends know really what's going on (because I shared to them first all my tips and tricks, and they have successfully carried it out too.) This is the topup balance of 1 of my accounts, because I have 2 accounts:

The other account has similar values, which just goes to show that I only used the gold I earned to buy all that stuff you see above.

But these aren't my only characters... so I will leave the rest to your imagination.

My first character build guide...

I've been busy lately writing my first character build guide. It's already halfway done, so I'm posting an update to summarize its important parts for you to know. The link for the guide can be found at the right sidebar under "Character Builds", but in any case, here's the link again:

Shooting Star Character Build Guide

This guide is level 60 cap friendly, meaning, when level 60 patch comes, you don't need to use any skill initialization scrolls to rearrange skill points.

It relies on a hybrid of Final Damage (FD) and Attack Power to boost your overall damage output (for budgetary purposes.) But you can choose to go all FD if you have the gold.

This is a duckless Shooting Star. I believe ducks are for Gear Masters and have no place for us Shooting Stars.

Lastly, I consolidated all the information into one Google Drive spreadsheet. If you don't like to read lengthy guides, then check out the link for the spreadsheet below:

Hope you find it useful!

First!!!

This is my first post.  This blog will be about my adventures in the online MMO Action RPG Dragon Nest hosted by Cherry Credits company--DN SEA.

It's a work in progress.  These are my aims:

1.  An online catalog/record of the things I've learned within the game including (but not limited to) character builds, play style, trading, weapon/armor enhancements, walkthroughs, etc.

2.  To share this knowledge to anybody interested.

I play a lot most of the times, so I'll post stuff as much as I can.  That's all I can think of for now.  So stay tuned!
